ABC…123

We have learned our alphabet but numbers are just as important. Some great books for counting are:
One, Two, Three! by Sandra Boynton, 10 Apples Up on Top by Dr. Seuss, and 10 Little Hot dogs by John Himmelman.

This week we danced!! Jim Gill has some amazing songs for counting including Jump and Count.

Some counting rhymes are:

1,2,3,4,5.
One, two, three, four, five,
Once I caught a fish alive,
six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
Then I let it go again.

Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so.
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on the right.

Our craft this week was a counting stack of apples. I cut out several apples and had them ready. The kids had to write numbers on them and we glued them on one another like the Dr. Seuss book.
